November 19th’s Tip

Toothpaste: Stating the obvious first -for standard toothpaste tubes, work it from the bottom up so you don’t waste any toothpaste. Even the best toothpaste tube roller is probably going to miss a bit of paste at the end of the tube – they just aren’t the best design in the world. One way to get that paste out is, when you’re finished with the tube and know there’s only a bit left at the end, to cut the end off to get to the last little bit of toothpaste.

I do something similar with shampoo. When you can’t get the last little bit out add some water and shake it up. You can get a couple more showers out of it!

You’ve got to get the most out of things so you’ll totally get your money’s worth. Don’t just put everything to waste if there is still use for it.

I used to have a problem with getting the most out of my toothpaste until I read your post. Thank you so much for such a simple yet, helpful tip. Now I have to teach my children also how to squeeze the tube correctly so that we will not have a hard time making the toothpaste come out when it is almost running out.

If you use the toothbrush to work the toothpaste up the tube you can get more out of it than just rolling it..

Great point! I think people too easily throw toothpaste away as its easier to just get a new tube out.

Thanks for sharing this helpful tip. I don’t usually cut off the end of my toothpaste tube but what I just do is roll the tube from the bottom up. Some tubes are soft so no worries.

I like this tip. I do get the same problem of getting the last bits of toothpaste out he tube. Thanks for sharing this. Now I won’t have a hard time squeezing and pressing until it comes out.

Great post here. I don’t really like to throw out things before I have gotten the full use out of them either. This is great for other people are interested in being eco-friendly with everyday products they use in their homes.
