Eco-Friendly Friday

March 26th’s Tip

Soap Chips: Stop throwing out those little pieces of soap! It’s valuable stuff! Take the soap chips from all the sinks and showers in your house and put them in a big plastic jug under the kitchen sink with a little water so they don’t dry out. When the jug gets full, set it in a pan on the stove with a little water and heat it very, very slowly, stirring, until all the soap melts. You can use that melted-down soap in the washing machine to tackle greasy jeans!

This week’s tip is from Mrs. Thelma Meyer, author of Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Home.
