Soup Day: Food waste is a big problem and buying all your veg in a oner once a week can be a difficult judgment. One solution is to make the day before your weekly shop ‘soup day.’ You can make tasty soups from any combination of any vegetables and use up all the stuff that you’d otherwise bin (or compost, of course). – contributed by Simon Lee
