United By Blue (UBB), is an ocean-friendly line of apparel and accessories. For every one product sold, UBB removes one pound of trash from beaches and waterways through company-organized cleanups. Launched this past April, UBB had already collected over 10,000 pounds of trash as of October!

Some of the weight comes from heavy debris like tires and shopping carts but most of the trash that the company collects is plastic litter. They have collected over 8,000 recyclable items like bottles and cans, items that don’t decompose and will often float out to sea and harm marine wildlife.
14 billion pounds of trash enter the oceans every year. United By Blue hopes to reduce this number by collecting trash from waterways and oceans and by raising awareness about ocean pollution.
UBB’s shirts are made from organic cotton, and they also carry an organic cotton bag and beautiful jewelry options.
