Is it Time to Ditch the Diet Sodas?
When I think “natural diet soda,” I first think, “at last – diet soda with a soul.” I’m a firm believer that Diet soda is bad for us, but I still can’t kick the habit. I do try to avoid consuming conventional diet sodas, and anything with artificial sweeteners, but I often fail, as I haven’t found a good replacement, until now!
The guilt of drinking sodas has been a burden on me lately, especially with swimsuit season around the corner. I’ve been trying to figure out ways to be healthier and get in shape. Spring cleaning from head to toe! I started with my eating habits. I decided to add “healthier soda” to my grocery list so that on my next trip to Whole Foods, I would be sure to check out healthier options and kick this nasty habit once and for all!
Lately it seems like health food stores are lining up their beverage aisles with “natural” diet sodas that are sweetened with Stevia and don’t contain any of the chemicals that scare organic seekers, like myself, away. I have to say, though, in general, I’m not a fan of drinks with Stevia. They tend to have a bitter aftertaste, but I love Truvia.
