Soap Hope Provides Microloans for Women Entrepreneurs

I’m a sucker for companies that are doing what they can to help people worldwide, from donating profits to providing jobs, education, training, etc. Soap Hope is a business with a somewhat unique model – it “invests 100% of its profits for a period of one year into nonprofit organizations that provide microloans and business training to women in poverty, enabling them to create businesses that lift them and their communities into sustainability.”

On top of that, they only carry cruelty-free 100% natural products with no artificial colors or aromas and no parabens. Their shipments are packed in reused cardboard, which they call the “Ugly Box.”

Soap Hope was founded on these principles:

  • To be the most trustworthy and reliable source for body care products for health-conscious people.
  • To carry only products that are 100% all natural and of exceptionally high quality.
  • To be the best value anywhere for the products we carry.
  • To use businesses practices that create as little impact on the environment as possible.
  • To provide our customers with the kind of service that creates lifelong customer relationships.
  • To give back to our world community.

Soap Hope carries bar soaps, liquid soaps, bath soaps, lotions, and even laundry soap.

Co-founder Salah Boukadoum wrote a post explaining why Soap Hope is important to her, which you can read here.
