Target Offers 5 Cent Credit Per Reusable Bag
We all know how bad for the environment those plastic shopping bags are, so I won’t go into that now (but if you want to learn more, here’s some info you can read, and there is a lot more like it on the net).
Many stores now offer the option to purchase reusable bags with their logo on them, and many also offer a credit when you check out with a reusable bag. Target is now one of these stores. Shop with your reusable bags and you will receive a 5 cent credit per bag (and no, it doesn’t have to be a Target brand bag). Just make sure you’re using an actual reusable shopping bag, not reusing a plastic bag!
A few other stores that offer an incentive for bringing your own bags include Stop & Shop, Whole Foods, Kroger, and Trader Joe’s, although, from what I’ve read, one or two of these stores may have discontinued their incentives. Check with your local stores to find out if they have an incentive available (some of your locally owned stores may have one available, as well).
