Turmeric is an amazing food for your skin whether taken internally or applied externally. It both cleanses and nourishes the skin to retain its elasticity and youthfulness and promotes a radiant glow!
It’s also a strong anti-inflammatory and aids your digestive system to absorb nutrients and normalize metabolism allowing your body to experience higher amounts of energy during the day.
Needless to say, I love turmeric and use it in just about everything! Here’s a yummy way to use this incredible golden spice to perk up your day from the get-go.
2 cups of hot water
1 tsp (or 1 tea bag) of Tulsi Tea
3 slices of fresh ginger
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 fresh lemon wedge
1 tsp raw honey
Steep tea, ginger and turmeric in hot water for 5 minutes then squeeze in lemon and stir in raw honey to make this warm, golden turmeric tonic that is AMAZING for its anti-inflammatory and alkalizing effect as well as immune system boost.
